Armenia Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Armenia, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Large systems like the Azores High and Siberian High can change air pressure in Armenia. When high-pressure systems move in, the weather is calmer and drier. When low-pressure systems arrive, it often gets windier and rainier.
Geography
Armenia has mountains and valleys, which influence air pressure. Air pressure is lower at high elevations, like in the mountains. Valleys usually have higher pressure because they are lower. Mountain ranges can block weather systems and create big differences in pressure from one region to another.
Seasonal Cycles
In winter, high-pressure systems from Siberia often bring cold, dry air to Armenia. In summer, lower pressure leads to warmer, sometimes wet weather, especially if air comes from the south or west. Autumn and spring have changing pressure as weather systems move more often.
Climate Change
Climate change is shifting air pressure patterns. There's more warming, so pressure differences can become stronger in summer and weaker in winter. Sudden storms or unusual dry spells can happen more often because pressure systems may move differently than they did before.
Places in Armenia
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Armenia Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Armenia to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
