Bosnia and Herzegovina Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Air pressure in Bosnia and Herzegovina mainly changes with Atlantic and Mediterranean weather systems. Storms from the Atlantic often bring low pressure and rain, while dry air from the Mediterranean can bring high pressure and calm weather. These systems switch throughout the year.
Geography
The mountains and valleys in Bosnia and Herzegovina affect how air pressure changes across the country. Mountains cause lower pressure as air rises and cools over them, while valleys can trap air and create higher pressure. Coastal areas feel more Atlantic and Mediterranean influence than inland spots.
Seasonal Cycles
In the winter, high pressure often settles over eastern Europe, sometimes bringing cold and dry weather to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In summer, lower pressure from the Mediterranean can cause thunderstorms and heavy rain. Spring and autumn usually have the biggest swings in pressure, leading to storms and changing weather.
Climate Change
Climate change has started to shift air pressure patterns. Hotter temperatures can lower average air pressure and make storms more common and severe. Some scientists expect more periods of low pressure, leading to more unpredictable weather and heavy rains in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Places in Bosnia and Herzegovina
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Bosnia and Herzegovina Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
