Bahrain Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Bahrain, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Winter in Bahrain often brings high air pressure from cold winds coming from the north and northwest. In summer, low pressure systems from the hot deserts move in, allowing hot and dry winds to blow over the country. These weather systems control how the pressure rises and falls.
Geography
Bahrain is an island surrounded by the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf. Water heats and cools slower than land, so air pressure over the sea changes less than on land. The flat land means nothing blocks wind or pressure systems, making pressure shifts spread quickly.
Seasonal Cycles
During winter and early spring, high pressure usually covers Bahrain, bringing cooler and drier air. In summer, the pressure drops as the land heats up, and the hot Shamal wind often blows. Pressure patterns shift back toward higher values in autumn.
Climate Change
Climate change causes Bahrain’s summers to get hotter. Heat lowers air pressure, so climate change may lead to more days with very low pressure and extreme heat. These changes also change the timing and strength of winds and storms.
Places in Bahrain
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Bahrain Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Bahrain to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
