Bermuda Barometric Pressure Map

Depending on how many places we monitor in Bermuda, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.

Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.

Most volatile

Least volatile

How is it calculated?

Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.

Weather Systems

Bermuda’s air pressure changes because of weather systems like the Bermuda High and passing cold fronts. The Bermuda High is a large area of high pressure that usually sits over the Atlantic Ocean, bringing fair weather. When cold fronts or low-pressure systems move in, they can make air pressure drop quickly.

Geography

Bermuda is a small, low island in the middle of the ocean. Its flat land does not block winds or influence pressure much. Instead, the big Atlantic Ocean around Bermuda controls most changes in air pressure, carrying high or low-pressure systems straight to the island.

Seasonal Cycles

Air pressure in Bermuda is higher in summer when the Bermuda High grows strong and stable, making the weather calmer. In winter, the Bermuda High weakens and shifts, allowing cold fronts and low-pressure systems to pass by, causing lower pressure and more storms.

Climate Change

Climate change can shift the position and strength of the Bermuda High. This may bring longer periods of high or low pressure, changing weather patterns. Higher ocean temperatures and a changing climate could create stronger storms, altering Bermuda’s usual air pressure trends.

Places in Bermuda

You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Bermuda Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Bermuda to keep you informed.

Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
