Kyrgyzstan Barometric Pressure Map

Depending on how many places we monitor in Kyrgyzstan, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.

Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.

Most volatile

Least volatile

How is it calculated?

Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.

Weather Systems

Weather systems like cyclones and anticyclones often influence air pressure in Kyrgyzstan. Cyclones bring low pressure and can cause clouds and rain. Anticyclones bring high pressure, causing clear and dry weather. These systems move across the region and constantly change the pressure.

Geography

Kyrgyzstan’s geography is very mountainous. High mountains block or redirect winds and weather systems. This makes air pressure change quickly from valley to valley. Lower valleys usually have higher pressure. Mountain peaks have lower pressure because of thinner air.

Seasonal Cycles

During winter, cold air masses from Siberia raise pressure over Kyrgyzstan. In summer, warm air from the south lowers pressure. These patterns repeat each year, creating strong seasonal cycles in air pressure across the country.

Climate Change

Climate change is making air pressure patterns less predictable. Warmer global temperatures can weaken cold winter highs and create stronger summer lows. This may lead to more unusual weather and faster changes in pressure, challenging normal seasonal patterns.

Places in Kyrgyzstan

You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Kyrgyzstan Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Kyrgyzstan to keep you informed.

Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
