Cambodia Barometric Pressure Map

Depending on how many places we monitor in Cambodia, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.

Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.

Most volatile

Least volatile

How is it calculated?

Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.

Weather Systems

Monsoon winds are the main weather systems changing air pressure in Cambodia. In the summer, moist air from the ocean flows in, creating low pressure. In the winter, dry air comes from large, cool Asian land areas, causing high pressure.

Geography

Cambodia has low, flat land. The nearby mountains in Vietnam and Thailand block some winds, causing differences in air pressure between the central plains and the hills. The Gulf of Thailand also brings humid air, which lowers pressure near the coast.

Seasonal Cycles

Pressure is usually lowest from May to October when the southwest monsoon brings heavy rains and storms. During November to April, cool, dry air from the northeast raises air pressure and makes the weather drier.

Climate Change

Because of climate change, the timing and strength of these pressure patterns may shift. Changing sea and land temperatures can affect how strongly the monsoons blow, which means more unpredictable wind and rain patterns for Cambodia.

Places in Cambodia

You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Cambodia Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Cambodia to keep you informed.

Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
