Comoros Barometric Pressure Map

Depending on how many places we monitor in Comoros, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.

Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.

Most volatile

Least volatile

How is it calculated?

Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.

Weather Systems

Comoros feels air pressure changes from nearby weather systems like the Indian Ocean monsoon winds. These winds bring high pressure from the southeast during the dry season and low pressure from the northwest during the rainy season. Cyclones can also briefly lower air pressure during storms.

Geography

The islands’ small size and steep volcanoes mean air pressure can change quickly across short distances. On hills or mountains, air pressure is lower than at sea level. Places near the ocean usually have steadier air pressure compared to those higher up or in valleys.

Seasonal Cycles

Every year, air pressure patterns shift with the seasons. From May to November, high pressure from southeast winds brings cooler, dry weather. From November to April, lower pressure from the northwest carries warmer, wetter air, causing more rain and sometimes storms.

Climate Change

Climate change may cause more extreme weather and unpredictable pressure patterns in Comoros. Stronger storms and shifting monsoon winds could lead to sudden drops or rises in air pressure, making the weather harder to predict in the future.

Places in Comoros

You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Comoros Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Comoros to keep you informed.

Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
