Saint Lucia Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Saint Lucia, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Weather systems like the Bermuda High and tropical waves often control air pressure in Saint Lucia. When a high-pressure system sits nearby, the weather is usually calm and sunny. Low-pressure systems, like tropical storms, bring clouds, rain, and sometimes strong winds.
Geography
Saint Lucia's mountains and valleys can cause changes in local air pressure. Air tends to be cooler and denser in the hills, leading to slightly higher pressure there. Along the coast, the warmer air rises, which lowers the surface pressure in those spots.
Seasonal Cycles
In the wet season from June to November, low-pressure systems are more common because warm sea temperatures add extra moisture to the air. In the dry season, high-pressure systems from the subtropical Atlantic keep the weather more stable and the skies clearer.
Climate Change
Climate change is causing sea temperatures to rise, which can lower air pressure and lead to more frequent low-pressure systems and storms. Over time, these changes make air pressure patterns less predictable and can increase the risk of extreme weather in Saint Lucia.
Places in Saint Lucia
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Saint Lucia Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Saint Lucia to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
