Myanmar Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Myanmar, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
Most volatile
Least volatile
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
In Myanmar, air pressure is shaped by large weather systems like the monsoon and the subtropical high-pressure zones. The southwest monsoon brings low pressure and rain from the Indian Ocean during summer. In winter, high pressure over Asia pushes dry and cool air into Myanmar.
Geography
Myanmar’s geography affects pressure distribution because there are mountains in the north and west and a long coastline to the south. The mountains block some winds and slow the movement of high and low-pressure areas. The central dry zone often has higher air pressure than the rainy coasts.
Seasonal Cycles
Air pressure changes with seasons in Myanmar. From June to October, the monsoon lowers pressure over most of the country. From November to May, the dry and cool northeast monsoon brings higher pressure. These cycles create wet and dry seasons.
Climate Change
Climate change can disrupt pressure trends in Myanmar. Hotter temperatures may make low-pressure systems stronger or cause pressure patterns to shift. This may lead to more extreme weather or longer wet and dry seasons. The typical pressure cycles could become less predictable over time.
Places in Myanmar
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Myanmar Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Myanmar to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
