Paraguay Barometric Pressure Map

Depending on how many places we monitor in Paraguay, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.

Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.

Most volatile

Least volatile

How is it calculated?

Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.

Weather Systems

Paraguay’s air pressure changes a lot because of nearby weather systems. Cold, dry air often comes from the south when cold fronts move up from Argentina. Warm, moist air comes from the north, especially from Brazil and the Amazon. These moving air masses change pressure quickly.

Geography

Paraguay is mostly flat land with few mountains. This lets air move easily across the country. When wind from the south meets warm air from the north, pressure can drop fast, causing stormy weather. There are no tall barriers to block or slow down pressure changes.

Seasonal Cycles

During winter, high pressure from the south brings cool, dry air. In summer, low pressure forms from heat, drawing in moist air that can bring rainstorms. These seasonal shifts in pressure cause changes in temperature and rainfall patterns every year.

Climate Change

With climate change, temperatures in Paraguay are getting higher. This can strengthen low-pressure areas in summer, leading to heavier rainfall and storms. Cold fronts might also become less common, so the balance of air pressure may shift over time.

Places in Paraguay

You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Paraguay Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Paraguay to keep you informed.

Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
