Barometric Pressure in Somalia
We monitor barometric pressure across 1 city in Somalia, giving you up-to-date insights into local weather patterns.
Whether you're tracking pressure changes for health reasons, planning outdoor activities, or planning a fishing trip, our data is tailored to conditions in Somalia, with detailed readings city by city.
Somalia Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Somalia, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Weather systems like the monsoon winds have a strong effect on air pressure in Somalia. During some months, winds blow from the ocean, bringing moist air and rain. In other months, winds come from the land, making the air drier and often raising the pressure.
Geography
Somalia’s long coastline and flat land mean ocean air can easily move across the country. The hot land heats the air, lowering pressure over the interior. Along the coast, cooler ocean air often keeps pressure a bit higher than inland.
Seasonal Cycles
Each year, Somalia’s air pressure changes with the seasons. From June to September, the southwest monsoon lowers pressure inland and brings rain. From December to March, the northeast monsoon raises air pressure and brings dry winds from the land, causing drier conditions.
Climate Change
Climate change is making air pressure patterns less predictable in Somalia. Rising temperatures heat the land faster, which can lower pressure and change wind patterns. This sometimes leads to stronger storms or longer dry spells, making weather harder to predict.
Places in Somalia
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Somalia Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Somalia to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
