Togo Barometric Pressure Map

Depending on how many places we monitor in Togo, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.

Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.

Most volatile

Least volatile

How is it calculated?

Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.

Weather Systems

In Togo, air pressure is affected by weather systems like the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). This system brings shifting winds and cloudy, rainy weather when it moves north over Togo. When the ITCZ moves south, drier air and fewer clouds are common.

Geography

Togo’s geography also changes how pressure is spread out. The country has a short coast and stretches inland with hills in the north. Air from the Atlantic brings humid low pressure to the south, while the north often has higher pressure from dry, hot winds from the Sahara.

Seasonal Cycles

There are two main seasonal pressure cycles in Togo. From May to October, lower pressure dominates because warm, moist air arrives from the ocean, bringing rains. From November to March, higher pressure takes over from the north, causing dry, dusty Harmattan winds.

Climate Change

Climate change may affect Togo’s air pressure by making weather more unpredictable. Rising temperatures can change when winds shift or how strong storms get. This might cause longer dry seasons, heavier rainfall, or more sudden changes in weather patterns.

Places in Togo

You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Togo Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Togo to keep you informed.

Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
