Barometric Pressure in Turkmenistan
We monitor barometric pressure across 1 city in Turkmenistan, giving you up-to-date insights into local weather patterns.
Whether you're tracking pressure changes for health reasons, planning outdoor activities, or planning a fishing trip, our data is tailored to conditions in Turkmenistan, with detailed readings city by city.
Turkmenistan Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Turkmenistan, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Turkmenistan’s air pressure changes with different weather systems. High-pressure systems often form over the cool deserts, bringing clear skies. Sometimes low-pressure systems from the west move in, causing wind and rare rain. These systems mostly decide if the weather is calm or stormy.
Geography
Geography shapes where pressure is high or low in Turkmenistan. The Karakum Desert heats up fast, making rising warm air and low pressure in summer. Mountains in the south block moist winds and help keep high-pressure air over most of the country, making it dry.
Seasonal Cycles
Pressures change with the seasons. In winter, cold air from the north creates very high pressure, making the weather dry and clear. In summer, the hot desert air creates lower pressure, causing blasts of wind and sometimes dust storms. Spring and autumn have pressure changes that bring short periods of wind and rain.
Climate Change
Climate change is making Turkmenistan’s air pressure patterns less predictable. Rising temperatures can weaken winter high pressures and make summers even hotter and drier. Pressure extremes may happen more often, leading to stronger winds, more dust storms, and less steady rainfall.
Places in Turkmenistan
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Turkmenistan Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Turkmenistan to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
