Ukraine Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Ukraine, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
Most volatile
Least volatile
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Big weather systems, like Atlantic cyclones and Siberian anticyclones, influence air pressure in Ukraine. Cyclones usually bring low pressure with clouds and rain, while anticyclones mean high pressure with clear, calm weather.
Geography
Ukraine’s geography affects air pressure because it has flat plains, the Carpathian Mountains in the west, and the Black Sea in the south. Mountains block and redirect air masses, sometimes trapping high or low pressure. The Black Sea can bring moist air, affecting pressure in the south.
Seasonal Cycles
Air pressure changes with the seasons. In winter, cold Siberian air brings high pressure and clear skies. In summer, lower pressure from the west brings storms and rain. Spring and autumn often have quick shifts as pressure systems change.
Climate Change
Climate change is making pressure patterns less predictable. There are more sudden changes and stronger weather systems. This can bring more storms, heat waves, or dry spells, as pressure systems do not follow old seasonal patterns as closely.
Places in Ukraine
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Ukraine Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Ukraine to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
