Azerbaijan Barometric Pressure Map
Depending on how many places we monitor in Azerbaijan, the map displays a sampled set of barometric pressure data to give a clear overview of current conditions.Trends Today
Here you can see which cities experienced the biggest and smallest changes in barometric pressure today. This helps highlight areas with the most stable or unstable weather patterns.
How is it calculated?
Our volatility “beta” number is generated by an algorithm that analyzes hourly barometric pressure changes. It looks at how much the pressure fluctuates from hour to hour. A beta of 0 means no change, perfectly stable pressure. The higher the decimal value, the more variation there has been throughout the day or over a longer period.
Weather Systems
Different weather systems move through Azerbaijan and change the air pressure. Sometimes, large high-pressure systems from Siberia bring clear, cold weather. Other times, low-pressure systems from the Atlantic or the south bring clouds, rain, and wind.
Geography
Azerbaijan’s geography creates big differences in air pressure. The Caspian Sea is lower than the mountains, so air pressure is usually higher by the sea and lower in the mountains. Valleys and plains can also trap or move air, making pressure uneven.
Seasonal Cycles
During winter, high-pressure systems often sit over the land and keep the weather dry and cold. In summer, low-pressure systems build up over the hot land, making the air unstable and bringing rain or storms. Spring and autumn have frequent pressure changes.
Climate Change
Climate change is slightly changing pressure patterns. Warmer temperatures can lower the strength of old high-pressure zones. This means storms and unusual weather might happen more often, with more rapid pressure changes in every season.
Places in Azerbaijan
You can find your city in the lists below, by using our search, or on the Azerbaijan Pressure Map above. We're tracking barometric pressure across multiple locations in Azerbaijan to keep you informed.
Each city includes a pressure status showing whether it's currently high, normal or low, along with two volatility values: one for today and one for the full period, usually 14 days. These help you see how much the pressure is changing over time.
